Four possible paths for the United Kingdom Independence Party

Posted by Guessedworker on Saturday, 01 June 2013 07:01.

This post is a response to a multi-part question posted by Ex-ProWhiteActivist on the after Eastliegh thread.  I am only setting out the four possible paths that UKIP can go, or be driven, down.  In the conclusion I will also reply to another multi-part question asked on the same thread by Leon Haller.

So ...

The path to marginalisation

... is the Conservative Party’s preferred outcome for UKIP.  Conservative MPs and party managers seem to believe that it is in the gift of the party to engineer it (which it isn’t if the UKIP phenomenon is fundamentally a rage against the political class).  Conservatives must, of course, believe in the marginalisation thesis or they have to relinquish all hope of a 2015 election victory.

In reality, though, there is little hope.  First, quite without the UKIP problem, the Conservative Party is in terminal decline electorally.  Eddie George has turned out to be right when he said in 2010, prior to the General Election, that the party which entered government would be picking up a poisoned chalice, given the unpopular decisions that would have to be taken to pay-down sovereign debt.  He may have signalled some small change in that last week, with the BoE’s forecast of growth.  But the damage is done.  The coalition government has served only to confirm the public in its contempt for the political class.  Even prior to the UKIP explosion, Opinion polls have shown support for the Conservatives only hovering around 30%.  The first ICM survey after the local authority elections had them at 28% as UKIP surged to a new high of 18%, since when a (possibly rogue) Survation poll has put them at 24% and UKIP at 22%.  The Conservatives will not recover popularity now and the Prime Minister will not suddenly become liked or respected (though he may be replaced by someone who is).

Second, this bleak picture masks a bleaker crisis in the Conservative election machine itself.  Local association membership has halved in a decade, and it is the younger and more energetic members who are deserting fastest.  Conservative activism is grey-haired and suffers joint pain in many areas of the country.  It is also outrageously abused by the leader’s inner circle as well, of course, as utterly confused by their liberal metropolitan appetites.  Yet, to be in any position to form a government in 2015, the party must fight an aggressive campaign on the ground and win votes off the other parties. Lose their own core constituency to UKIP and that’s it.  They can’t get back from that.

The cultural becomes the racial

Posted by Guessedworker on Thursday, 30 May 2013 09:18.

Thanks to Morgoth for drawing attention to this very honest and fine speech from Paul Weston who has, as Morgoth says, indeed passed beyond the constraints of culturism into full Nationalism.

Morgoth also makes the point (on the Woolwich thread) that much of what Paul says reminds him of the discussions of the DT threads, and the stark facts that are used as battering rams.  In a number of guises I have battered Paul for his culturism on those very threads.  Perhaps an apology is owed now!

Paul must have understood then everything he is saying now, and he is saying it in every important detail.  It is, of course, the moral case, the case in Nature, for our survival.

Paul himself is clearly a most sincere man.  How he will square this with the essential culturism of his party remains another issue.

Now it’s taxi “racism”

Two studies by the TV station WUSA9 have highlighted what it claims is racial discrimination by Washington taxi  drivers, but is this really the case?

A non-critical article about this so-called investigation has already been at Digital Journal.  On the face of it, the video clips make uncomfortable viewing, especially for sensitive liberals from the West coast, but does it paint a true picture, and if it does, is there an alternative explanation for this phenomenon?

The first question we should ask is, have the videos been edited? Obviously, the team from WUSA9 didn’t have time to show every single one,  but leaving aside the missing scientific controls, this appears to be an honest - though mistaken - report. In fact, this report and the previous one are so transparently honest, that it beggars belief the people who produced it don’t understand the real issues here.

To begin with, the taxis therein did not refuse solely black passengers, some refused white ones. And, this was not a case of white drivers refusing to take black passengers, many, indeed most of the drivers were non-white or even black themselves. So what is really going on here?

Book review: Culture Wars by David Hamilton

Posted by Guest Blogger on Thursday, 23 May 2013 23:34.

Alexander Jacob

Those who seek new ideas and new arguments can do no better than read this new book of essays on art. It is a major attack on the degenerate cultural elites who are destroying art and culture from within.

If any think that is exaggerated consider the contents of this book. Those who love traditional Britain and are today forced to look on helplessly as they witness the rapid, deliberate and ruthless destruction of the art and culture of their nation and feel pushed out, David Hamilton’s Culture Wars will serve as solace, moral support and encouragement.

This is not a systematic work but a loose, discursive collection of essays on art, architecture, drama, animals and the environment, and English churches with the history, legends and stories attached. The author told me that tradition means re-linking with our common ancestors and our common roots. The author records the various art objects, buildings and theatrical plays that are ruining the landscape and minds of the inhabitants of post-war Britain, and he does so in far greater detail than Conservative journalist Peter Hitchens (who conducted a critique of modern Britain in The Abolition of Britain [1999]). As Hamilton warns us:

we suffer from a “syndrome of social, cultural, political and environmental pressures that are dissociating people from their communal identity, severing them from traditional civilizing structures that their ancestors could take for granted” (p. 69).

Incidentally, Hamilton notes Hitchens’ failure to investigate the causes of the social evil that he is describing. Instead Hitchens declares rather naively, that

the overthrow of the past has not been planned — such things cannot be orchestrated though they can be skilfully guided — but has followed the coincidental disappearance of rival or alternative moral and cultural forces and structures. So many features of this country’s life crumbled at once, that the new culture had to take the place of patriotism, faith, morality and literature.

Hamilton, on the other hand, rightly begins the opening section of his book — on the degeneracy of the modern visual arts — with the revolution of the 1960s which forced art to become vulgar “mass culture”, stopped the sacred fount of artistic creativity and substituted sterile shock techniques in its place. The examples Hamilton provides of the increasing use of pornography in modern art are especially disturbing, since they reveal that these, often literally excremental productions are in fact vigorously promoted by “art”-collectors.

The Woolwich Outrage - can’t have the lower orders getting too excited

Posted by Guessedworker on Wednesday, 22 May 2013 22:42.

The British media were doing so well to avoid covering the riots in Stockholm.  No bad news could be tolerated, you see.  Nothing to be allowed to penetrate the carapace of blissful multcultic ignorance.  Not while this UKIP surge was on everyone’s mind.  Then, right out of the blue, a completely savage and random attack by two black Moslems on a serving soldier.  In broad daylight in London.  A virtual beheading.  Rivers of blood.  A sole middle-aged white woman standing up for right.  The Metropolitan Police Service checking Health and Safety regs for twenty minutes before finally showing their faces and shooting the bastards.  The Muslim Council of Great Britain gets in early with a bit of damage limitation.

Cue the media.  Cue their control instincts.  “Comments are closed”.  “Comment removed”.  “Edited by a moderator”.  Meanwhile, nothing will shake our determination to have business as usual blah, blah.  Meanwhile, with lightning speed the EDL Twittered and Facebooked it’s way to Woolwich.  Meanwhile, the media pile in with an anti-white, anti-EDL message.  A handy bit of misdirection.

And so it goes.  Just one DT article carried comments for a very few hours.  You can read them here.

Independent Academic Validation of Industrially Useful Cold Fusion Device

Posted by James Bowery on Monday, 20 May 2013 07:25.

An energy revolution has been reported in a joint paper by scientists from Bologna University, Uppsala University and Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, titled “Indication of anomalous heat energy production in a reactor device containing hydrogen loaded nickel powder.” This is the long-awaited independent validation of the infamous “E-Cat” or “Energy Catalyzer” by controversial inventor Andrea Rossi. Quoting the paper: “Even by the most conservative assumptions as to the errors in the measurements, the result is still one order of magnitude greater than conventional energy sources.”

The pseudo-skeptics have long-ago lost the peer-reviewed independently published discourse and have been completely reliant on the media and political echo-chamber. The significance of this is now outside of academic discourse entirely and threatens the stability of the echo-chamber.

Griffin, Moslem Grooming and a “misinterpreted” article

Posted by Guessedworker on Thursday, 16 May 2013 00:18.

Today Sean Thomas, the Daily Telegraph blogger, journalist and, under a pseudonym, author, posted a piece about the latest case of Moslem Grooming, this time in Oxford.  It was titled “Oxford gang rape: did people ignore this sort of scandal because racist Nick Griffin was the first to mention them?”

The article skips through a little of the history of the offence before arriving, in the last two paragraphs, at the efforts made by Nick Griffin to raise consciousness of it and shame the police into action:

There’s one more figure who played an important role in this saga. As long ago as 2001, Nick Griffin, the leader of the BNP, was making claims about Asian grooming gangs. In 2004 he repeated these allegations in a speech clandestinely recorded by the BBC for a TV documentary, Secret Agent. He was arrested and charged with inciting racial hatred.

Which is exactly what he was doing, of course. He was making his allegations to stir up ethnic strife. Right-thinking people, aware of the BNP’s record as liars, presumed that these stories were just racist demagoguery. No doubt Griffin feels vindicated today: for telling the truth before anyone else. And yet it was thanks in part to his thuggish intervention that society felt able to ignore the scandal. And thus the abuse continued.

Comments on the article were disabled.  But appalled commenters raised the concerns on an unrelated thread, myself among them.  Thomas let it be known via a tweet that his original article had been doctored by a DT editor but it had since been amended.  It was still bloody awful, obviously.  So I emailed him to tell him so:
